Hotels & hospitality

Hotel pool water testing that supports the compliance file.

Short answer

Hotel pool water testing compliance is still a people-and-code job. The CPO, the service contract, required manual tests, and the local health department stay in charge.

Amano sits on the return line and runs liquid-reagent tests for free chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, and total alkalinity. The usual schedule is twice a day. Timing is adjustable. After each test, it can alert the team when a reading is out of range and store a timestamped log.

Hotels with more than one property can use one app. Amano does not add chemicals and does not replace the operator or the service company.

The hospitality job is coverage between visits

A hotel pool is open when guests are in the building, including evenings and weekends. The service tech is not always on site. Brand or ownership teams still ask what the water was doing after a complaint.

Amano extends visibility between those visits. It does not run the pool. It does not stand in for the person who must still test, inspect, and decide.

Multi-property, not a one-slogan page

An apartment page is about the inspector and the log. This page is about a hospitality team that already has a CPO path and a service contract, and wants the same four readings stored across hotels.

Share a log with a QR code when an inspector, owner, or brand partner asks. They do not need a login. Acceptance of that record is still a local decision.

This is general operating guidance. Follow your local health department and adopted code, facility SOP, chemical label, and equipment-manufacturer instructions. The Model Aquatic Health Code is voluntary guidance, not federal law.

What stays with the hotel team

Install facts that matter in a hotel equipment room

The device mounts on a 2-inch return line after the filter and before other return-line equipment. It uses 120V. The install point needs at least 40 GPM and 10 PSI. Cellular is built in, so guest Wi-Fi is not part of the setup. A reagent cartridge is swapped monthly.

See pool water testing with no Wi-Fi if the pump room is the blocker.

Common questions

Does Amano replace the hotel CPO or the pool service contract?
No. Amano is an inline reagent tester that writes chemistry logs and sends alerts after tests. The certified pool operator, the service company, required manual tests, inspections, and local code still apply.
Can one dashboard cover more than one hotel pool?
Yes. Multiple properties can be managed in one app. Each pool still needs its own device on a qualifying 2-inch return line.
What if the equipment room has no guest Wi-Fi?
Amano uses built-in cellular. Cellular is included in the subscription. There is no Wi-Fi setup in the pump room.
Will this keep a hotel brand or health department happy by itself?
No. Amano stores timestamped readings for the four parameters it tests. Brand standards, local code, and the authority having jurisdiction still set what must be tested, signed, and kept.
