Does this satisfy my health department?
Amano produces a timestamped record of every automated reading it takes. Requirements vary by jurisdiction, and local codes can require operator testing at set intervals. Amano records its scheduled readings alongside whatever your local code requires; it does not override those requirements.
Does it replace our pool service company?
No — Amano monitors and alerts, it doesn’t add chemicals. Your techs arrive already knowing exactly what the water needs, so every visit gets faster and nothing goes unrecorded between them.
What does it measure?
Free chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, and total alkalinity — every reading logged automatically, twice a day by default. Test times and frequency are adjustable.
Do I need Wi-Fi at the property?
No. The device connects over built-in cellular, and the data is included in the subscription. There’s nothing to configure and no IT involvement, which helps in an equipment room where Wi-Fi doesn’t reach anyway.
